I am please to see that the U¸S¸ Supreme Court has agreed to review the Communications Decency Act and censorship on the Internet¸ I find it offensive that the government wants to censor material that I as an adult may wish to view in privacy¸ I can understand the concern about children (I have 5 myself) but regulating children is a parental and not governmental responsibility¸ There is software available and other means to control what your children view on the internet¸ With respect to defining what kind of material is objectionable there is no way to draw a line since the matter is so subjective¸ In addition‚ any government regulation system is subject to abuse and ineffeciency¸ It is important for the government to stay out of the censorship business‚ particularly with respect to the internet¸
