The real story is not how I nearly died‚ it is how I woke up tp myself. A while back I was having a typical day as a married guy with three kids‚ lots of responsibilities and not enough time or imagination to make us happy. After zooming out of the house and off to an assignment‚ (I was a investigator for a private firm doing criminal defense work) I was travelling along the turnpike when WHAM...I started to sweat‚ breathe heavy and get dizzy in a matter of seconds. As I was going 65mph at the time it was quite a thrill ride. Massive heart attack. But‚ as I managed to pull off the road at a spot that seemed to appear out of nowhere my car went up an imbankment and stalled‚ eventually drifting back to a stop along the roadside. I sat unable to get out of the car for what seemed to be an eterenity...actually 15 minutes...a long time when having a heart attack. Help came and got me to the hospital and great care for my heart and body. Lots of treatment ‚ etc and another heart attack later I am still here. I was very lucky to come out as well as I did. And‚ in the time I was waiting for help‚ I thought about things and never thought about how I wished I spent more time working. I learned to spend more and more time with my family and to enjoy them for the people they are and the greeat times we have. Very lucky man.
