Several months ago my father and I picked up some fire wood
for our woodburner¸ Unfortunately our yard was muddy from
several weeks of hard rain and after we unloaded the wood we
found ourselves stuck in the front yard; even though my dads truck
is 4wheel drive we couldnt move an inch¸ We called a tow truck
and the halfwhit who came was named Dan¸ He proceeded to spend
over an hour trying to pull us out tearing our lawn to shreads in
the process¸
Last month I had another encounter with Dan¸ I was crabbing
in the bay near our home¸ All of the regular parking spaces were
filled by jerks with boattrailers who failed to park in the spaces
specially designated for them¸ So seing no possible harm I parked
in a boattrailer space¸ I was only gone for about one hour but
when I returned I was just in time to see Dan leaving with my car in
tow¸ Dans tow company is 35 minutes from where he picked me up
and he charged me for each minute as well as for the impoundment
fee¸ I tried to argue against that since my car was impounded for
less than 5 minutes before I came and picked it up but Dan is a
stubborn little weasel¸
Several days ago my dad called me with a great story (the whole
point of what Im writing)¸ While communting home from work late one
night he stopped at a gas station¸ No one was around except for
our good friend Dan¸ Dans truck battery died and he needed a
jump¸ He asked my dad if he would do him the favor to which my
father replied "Dan call a tow truck!"
I thought it was interesting enough to put in a movieor at
least lively enough to send to some crazy internet people who are
stuck reading boring junk all day :)
