I think that the future of the internet is directly related to the amount of bandwidth available to the users and service providers¸ More bandwidth is what everybody wants¸ Modems protocols and compression ratios are changing faster than the capacity of the two wire line in the home is able to handle adequately¸ Soon we will all want to have ISN lines in our homes and the service providers are trying to keep up with the pace but unfortunately are lagging behind¸ The cable providers are trying to get into the game by not only providing cable programming but telephone and internet access as well¸ The long distance companies are trying their hand to quench the bandwidth thirst of the end user by providing ASDL to the enduser ­Asycronous Digital Subscriber Loop­ when will it all end‚ or at least come to a point where everyone is satisfy‚ probably never¸ But oh well‚ I have my own problems to worry about ­ how to keep up with the latest and greatest PC¸ I just got a new PC 8 months ago and already its outdated¸
