Hi‚ I work in the film industry as a Special Effects Technician¸ I have been working in special effects for nearly ten years after following my fathers footsteps into the industry¸ I am currently working on a science fiction film called "Event Horizon" in which Sam Neil stars¸ I am involved in physical effects which include :­ Atmospheric effects such as Wind‚ Rain‚ Fog‚ Snow etc¸ Mechanical Effects which could be building anything from radio controled robots to building sets on large hydraulic rockers which would simulate motion on a boat or aircraft¸ Pyrotechnic effects from small bullet hits to large explosions¸ I enjoy my work very much although I would love to get into Visual Effects and work with computers doing all the Digital Effects that seem to have been popular in films like True Lies‚ Apollo 13 etc¸ I hope you have enjoyed this brief insight into my job‚ and look forward to some Email¸ M¸
